We are stuck with picking mainly from unpredictable Cup games tonight, so i am posting this particular double as just a suggestion, as i don't have the same level of confidence i would normally want when posting an official "Tipster's Double". Our first selection (West Brom) is the main reason this double is a suggestion and not a "Tipster's Double". I have a niggling feeling their may be an upset tonight, but if there is, i'm hoping it will happen during extra time. The main reason i'm not going with the upset in this selection is because Berahino is confirmed to be starting this game, and he has the ability to correct West Brom's main problem when playing away from home, which is a lack of goals being scored. Why he's not playing every match is beyond me, clearly the club feels he's valuable or they would have sold him during January for over 20mil, so why aren't they playing him?! Anyway, Peterborough won't make this an easy game for Premiership West Brom, but with a quality natural goal scorer playing tonight, West Brom should have enough to avoid defeat during the 90 minutes.
Our second selection (Maritimo) I feel more comfortable with. It's the semi final stage now of the Portugal League Cup, so there is no room for over confidence and massive rotation of starting XI's. Maritimo are not as bad as their league position may suggest, in particular when playing at home, where they have deserved better results from the balance of play. Their opponents today (Portimonense) are in the league below and have performed incredibly well in this Cup, however at some point their impressive run is going to end, and i think Maritimo have the quality to cause that end. Simply put, this is a Primeira team against a Segunda Liga team in the semi finals of the Cup, 9 times out of 10 the Primeira Liga side will come out on top at this crucial semi final stage, and that should be the case here today.
