Our first selection (Chelsea) remain unbeaten since Hiddink took over as manager, they haven't been setting the world on fire, but they have been putting the points together, and a win tonight could see them go just 3 points adrift of a stuttering Liverpool. They are scoring with greater regularity recently, scoring 16 goals in their last 6 games, however they could still do with tightening up their defence a little, conceding 6 in their last 4 games. Their opponents tonight (Watford) have struggled for form recently, losing 4 straight league games before beating Newcastle last time out. Maybe the long hard season is starting to take it's toll a little on Watford now, and a game against a fairly confident and much happier Chelsea tonight is unfortunate timing for Watford. I still don't have undoubting faith in Chelsea, which is why i have covered the draw in this selection, however a Chelsea win would be no surprise to me.
Our second selection (Juventus) got off to a terrible start to the season, however since the end of October they have won an incredible 12 straight league games, scoring an impressive 31 goals and conceding only 6 in the process. They are defending Champions, and they are still sat behind Napoli, so they have plenty of incentive to keep racking up the wins. Their opponents tonight (Genoa) are 5 points off the relegation zone and play their best football at home. Away from home they only have 1 win from 11 away league games, scoring just 9 goals (less than 1 per game) and conceding 16 in the process. Yes upsets do happen in football, but it would still be very brave to think anything other than a Juventus win will happen tonight, and most likely by more than 1 goal.
