Monday's fixture choice is very limited, and as a result i'm having to select from the less predictable Turkey Cup, therefore i'm just going to post a double suggestion today. So if you have any doubts, just wait for the next official "Tipster's Double".

Our first selection (Maritimo) in my opinion are better than their league position indicates, in particular when playing at home. They have 3 losses from 9 home games, however it's their performances in those losses which say to me they should be doing better than they are. One was a very narrow defeat against leaders Sporting, one they had to play with only 10 men for most of the match, and the other was against top 5 Ferreira, where they lost despite having more chances on goal and more possession. Belenenses on the other hand have performed badly away from home and their record shows it (1 win, 3 draws, 6 losses, conceding a massive 27 goals in those 10 games), and their only win wasn't convincing at all, as they had less possession and less than half as many chances as their opponents. As long as their are no red cards or dodgy refereeing decisions, i see Maritimo having the better of the game and coming away with a win or draw.
Our second selection (Istanbul Basaksehir) are very strong at home, going unbeaten in their last 8 home games in all competitions, and having a home league record of 6 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses. They currently sit in 4th position in the Turkey Super League, where as their opponents today currently play 2 divisions below. Istanbul Basaksehir are a team that like to dominate possession and control the games, and i expect that will be the case today as Tepecikspor will most likely look to play a counter attacking game. With this being the knock out phase of the Cup, Istanbul Basaksehir should take it seriously, and should simply have too much quality. They will most likely be the more dominant force in this game and a home win is a very likely result today.
