Our first selection (Feyenoord) are consistently one of the stronger sides in the Netherlands Eredivisie, however they have performed fairly poorly the last few games, so they will be looking to try and get back on song in tonights match against Heerenveen). Their home form is generally very strong, only dropping points to 1st and 2nd place teams Ajax and PSV. They score over 2 goals per game on average at home, and concede less than 1 goal on average, which explains how they have managed to win 7 of their 9 home games this season. Heerenveen on the other hand have a very poor away record, consisting of 1 win, 2 draws, and 6 losses, and they concede over 2.5 goals per away game, so there should be plenty of goal scoring opportunities for Feyenoord tonight. Feyenoord need to get back on track, and i feel they have enough quality to do so this evening.
Our second selection (No clean sheet - Las Palmas) is an obvious one for me. The first leg of this tie was a 1-1 draw, with Las Palmas scoring an away goal, therefore they are currently leading the tie on the away goals rule, and therefore Valencia need a goal to have any chance of progressing. On top of that, i believe this cup will be more of a priority for Valencia as they comfortably sit mid-table in the league with little chance of relegation, and little chance of European qualification through league position, so the Copa del Rey could be their best chance of Europe next season. Also, Las Palmas are 3rd from bottom in the relegation zone, so avoiding relegation in the league will surely be their highest priority. Valencia should put out a strong side as they search for the goal the need, and i expect them to score at least once tonight.
