Our first selection (PSG) are defending League Cup Champions so will be looking to progress to the final with a win tonight against Toulouse in the semi finals. They have played each other a couple times recently (PSG winning both times), which can often work in the stronger teams favour as they can often figure out the more effective ways to play and win, and also sap the morale of the team who is coming off second best. However the main reason PSG should win is because they are by far the best team in France, and with a 21 point lead in the Ligue 1, they don't have too many concerns over whether to rest players for important upcoming league matches. This is a must win game for PSG, so they will be taking it seriously, and despite a few injuries, they should have more then enough to win tonight.
Our second selection (PSV) are currently the most in form team in the Netherlands Eredivsie, and tonight they are up against the most out of form team in the league (Excelsior). PSV are last seasons League Champions and need wins to close the 4 point gap to Ajax at the top of the table, and the wins have certainly been coming recently. They have won 5 of their last 6 matches in the league, scoring 14 goals and conceding only 5 in the process, and as Excelsior took a point off them for the first time in 8 previous meetings, PSV will be out to avenge that tonight. Excelsior on the other hand have lost 5 of their last 6 matches in the league, scoring only 5 goals but conceding 14 in the process, which amazingly is the exact opposite to PSV, so you couldn't get a bigger contrast. Unless there is a major upset tonight, this should be a win for PSV.
