Our first selection (Real Madrid) has very good odds considering the teams involved. Yes they are playing away from home, and yes Bale is out injured, however this is an in form Real Madrid vs a newly promoted Real Betis who are struggling in the lower half of the table, so the smart money has to be on Madrid. Real Madrid have had 2 very impressive wins since the legendary Zidane took over from Benitez, scoring 10 goals and conceding only 1 in those 2 games. Compare that to Real Betis' form of 5 losses from their last 6 games in all competitions, and a 5-0 loss to Real Madrid earlier in the season, and you can understand why i will be backing an away win today.
Our second selection (PSV) is another obvious choice, however it shouldn't be ignored just because it's obvious. PSV are last years league winners, by a country mile, however this season they find themselves struggling to keep pace with Ajax, therefore making sure they get 3 points from home games against lower quality opposition is a necessity. PSV's opponents today (FC Twente) have the poorest away record in the league this season, with 0 wins, 3 draws, and 6 losses, scoring only 7 goals in those 9 games, yet conceding a massive 23. With PSV being so strong at home (unbeaten at home in the league this season), and scoring on average over 2 goals per home game, they should have more than enough quality to be able to win by 1 or more goals against a side struggling so badly away from home.
