Our first selection (Liverpool) have certainly had a few struggles recently despite dominating a lot of their games with their intense pressing style. They played a lot of youngsters when they drew 2-2 at Exeter last time out, and they are expected to still play a fair few youngsters again tonight. I do think they will play 1 or 2 more senior players this time round though as the look to make sure of progression into the next round of the Cup. Exeter have nothing to lose tonight, however i think Liverpool's extra quality will tell tonight, and with the advantage of playing at Anfield, i'm expecting a fairly comfortably victory for Liverpool.
Our second selection (Chambly v Lyon - Goal line Over 2) didn't jump out at me initially, but the more i weighed up the other available options, the more i felt this might be the safest option to pair with Liverpool. Lyon are having a disappointing season by their standards, they are one of the bigger clubs in French football, and would normally beat a team like Chambly comfortably. With their unpredictable results this season though, i prefer to back goals to be scored as i believe Lyon will not want any further embarrassment tonight so will be looking for a convincing win. Also, Chambly might well fancy their chances as they beat Reims 4-1 in the last round, so could go looking for a goal or two as they look to take advantage of Lyon's suspect defensive play away from home.
