Our first selection (Eibar) are on a decent run of form in the league, winning their last 3 games, and scoring 8 goals and conceding only 1 in the process. They are sitting just under the European places but have a game in hand over the teams above. Although fairly solid away from home, they are stronger with home advantage as most are, and have only lost 2 of their 10 home league games, and they were against Real Madrid and Atl Madrid, which is nothing to be ashamed of. Tonights opponents (Granada) have lost their last 3 games (in all competitions) very heavily, conceding 4 goals in each match, so their confidence can’t be very high at the moment. They sit just above the relegation zone and have been conceding a lot of goals, 36 in 19 league games. They lost 3-1 when hosting Eibar earlier in the season, so without home advantage this time, they really should struggle to get anything out of this game.
Our second selection (Sparta Rotterdam) have been so impressive in the league this season, in particular at home where they have a 100% record of 9 wins from 9 games. They seem to be able to score for fun when playing at home, scoring a massive 30 goals from just those 9 home games, and to make matters worse for tonights opponents (RKC), they have only conceded 8 goals at home. RKC come into this game 2nd from bottom and without an away league win all season. They have only managed 3 draws and 6 losses away from home, and have scored only 4 goals, yet conceded 19 in the process. The recent form suggests this should be a convincing win for Sparta Rotterdam.
