Our first selection (Celtic) is an obvious choice, and for good reason too. It's a simple case of top vs bottom, with a recent history hugely stacked in Celtic's favour. Celtic have won their last 5 match-ups against todays opponents (Dundee Utd) by 2 or more goals, scoring 3 or more goals in each of the games. We all know Celtic should win this match, they have beaten Dundee Utd twice already this season, and they have a good away record of 7 wins, 2 draw, 1 loss. Dundee Utd on the other hand are having a terrible season, with just 10 points from 21 league games, and are currently 11 points adrift at the bottom of the table. We have been victim to some unexpected results earlier in the week, but it would take ridiculously bad luck for there to be an upset here tonight.
Our second selection (VVV over 1.5 team goals) should be fairly straight forward unless the Christmas break has altered the way these two team play football. Venlo are currently in impressive form, sitting 2nd in the league, and winning their last 5 matches. They are no stranger to scoring goals either, scoring 40 goals from 18 league games so far this season, and scoring 16 goals from their last 5 games. Their opponents tonight (Almere) are no strangers to conceding goals, especially away from home, conceding 26 goals in 9 away games, and they have conceded 2 or more goals in every one of their 9 away league games this season. Everything suggests it should be well within VVV's capabilities to score a couple tonight.
