Our first selection (Crystal Palace) are one of those rare teams that seem to perform better away from home. They have lost only 2 of their 9 away league games this season, and have managed 5 away wins in the process. This is largely down to having the tightest defence away from home in the league, conceding just 7 goals. Palace aren't big scorers, but with their strong defence, and their opponents (Aston Villa) lack of goal threat (6 goals from 9 home games), they should be able to at least avoid defeat. Villa are on a terrible run, with just 1 win in 20 league games, losing their last game to fellow strugglers Sunderland, their confidence is in tatters and it's difficult to see where their next win will come from. As long there are no big upsets, this should be a safe selection.
Our second selection (Huddersfield) are one of the in form teams in the Championship, with 3 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss in their last 5 games. Their league position (18th) doesn't truly represent the way they have played in a lot of their matches, and they should really be higher up the league. Their opponents tonight (Charlton) are really struggling for form, with just 3 points from their last 5 games, conceding 10 goals in the process. Away from home they struggle for goals, scoring only 7 from 12 away games, and their defence isn't helping either, conceding 21 goals in this 12 games. Huddersfield beat Charlton away from home 2-1 in September, and i can see them coming away with another win tonight.
