Our first selection (Raith) are in the chase for promotion to the premiership next season in 4th place. Where as their opponents (Alloa) are looking almost certain to be relegated, as they currently have only 8 points from 19 games and are 7 points adrift of the team above. In those 19 games they have only managed 8 goals, yet have conceded 39. These two teams have already met twice this season in the league (home and away), and both times Raith have come out as winners without even conceding a goal. On current form, there is no reason to suggest that Raith can't secure another win tonight, especially as they have home advantage.
Our second selection (Deportivo La Coruna) are tied 1-1 from their first leg away from home against Mirandes in the Copa del Rey. Now as far as i'm aware, the away goals rule counts in these ties, therefore Deportivo La Coruna only need a 0-0 draw to qualify for the next round. They are a strong team when playing at home, only losing 2 of their 9 home games in the league, and on top of that they are playing a team (Mirandes) who plays in the league below, so they should have the extra quality too. Although their first leg was a draw, Deportivo La Coruna had more possession and chances, and that should certainly be the case tonight when they have home advantage. I expect Deportivo La Coruna to comfortably qualify for the next round of the Copa del Rey.
