Tuesday's Double Suggestion!

5th Jan 2016

Once again difficult fixtures today, although that didn't stop us winning yesterday. However I will still be posting this double just as a suggestion again as it includes the unpredictable Capital One Cup and a lower English League game. So if you're in any doubt, just wait for the next official "Tipster's Double".

Double:
Biggleswade Town v Bideford - WIN (Biggleswade Town) (Biggleswade match is now postponed, could try replacing with Solihull WIN, or No clean sheet Sampdoria)
Stoke v Liverpool - Stoke total goals (Over 0.5)

At time of posting, odds were 1.94

These matches can be found in the Capital One Cup and the Southern Premier League.

Our first selection (Biggleswade Town) is a fairly obvious choice when looking at league positions and form, my only caution would be the quality of league the teams are from, it reduces the difference in quality between the two teams playing. However, it would be silly to overlook this one, Biggleswade are on a 5 match winning streak and still in the top 5, where as Bideford have 1 point from their last 5 games and sit 2nd from bottom. On top of that Biggleswade have the strongest attack at home in the league, scoring 33 goals in just 13 games, which should do well against a defence that has conceded 26 goals in 12 games away from home. Biggleswade have also won the last 3 times these two teams have met, without conceding a single goal. It would be a big surprise if Biggleswade didn't win this one.

Our second selection (Stoke total goals - Over 0.5) is the same as "No clean sheet - Liverpool", it's just they are named differently at different bookies, and i prefer to use one which offers a £20 loyalty bonus when possible. Now this Cup is unpredictable, and Liverpool are unpredictable at the moment too, however they have been consistent in that their away form hasn't been great recently. Liverpool have conceded in 7 of their last 9 away games in the Premier League, add to that the fact that Stoke have scored in 8 of their last 9 home games in all competitions and it looks likely Stoke can get a goal tonight. Stoke have a talented front 3 in Bojan, Arnautovic, and Shaqiri, and with them having to play at Anfield in the 2nd leg, they will surely be hoping to go into that match with a lead, so will be looking to get on the scoresheet tonight.
