Now on paper our first selection (No clean sheet - Everton) is a game which should contain many goals, most likely by both teams. Everton score on average over 2 goals per game at home and concede 1.5 goals per game at home, and Leicester score over 2 goals per game away from home, so it would be no surprise to see both teams score in this match. However, our main concern is that Leicester score, and if form is anything to go by, they should score, and possibly more than 1. Leicester have scored in all 8 of their away games, and in 7 of those 8 games they have scored 2 or more goals, so with Vardy and Mahrez playing, there is always a good chance of a goal. On top of that, Everton have only kept one clean sheet at home so far this season, and that was against bottom of the table Aston Villa. I actually have a feeling Everton might come away with a win today, however i do think Leicester will score.
For my second selection, i think this might be the first time i've picked Newcastle this season, so fingers crossed everyone. They appear to have hit a bit of form, with two great wins in their last two matches against Liverpool and Tottenham. On top of that, they are playing at St James' and against an Aston Villa side that look destined to be relegated with a run of terrible results which have brought just 1 win in all 16 league games so far this season. Villa have a distinct lack of fire power, with less goals scored than any other team in the premiership, therefore it seems unlikely they will have enough to win at St James' to a Newcastle side who will have gained a lot of confidence recently.
