Middlesbrough v Everton - No clean sheet (Middlesbrough)

These matches can be found in the Capital One Cup.
Our first selection (Man City) is an obvious pick really considering their quality, the only reservation would be the fact this is the Capital One Cup so there is always the risk of rotation and a weaker side being put out. However, with the depth of their squad being so strong, this being the quarter finals, and they are playing in front of their home crowd, i think it's inevitable that tonights line-up will still be very strong even if not all first choice regulars. Their opponents (Hull) were in great form in the Championship, however their last two results may have reduced their self belief slightly, so not a good time to play a team of Man City's quality. Hull are a decent side, and i can really see them in the mix for automatic promotion this year, however i think Man City at the Etihad will be too strong at this stage in the competition.
Our second selection is a little less straight forward. Yes Middlesbrough have the best home defence in the Championship (conceding only 2 goals in 9 home games), but they are up against Premiership opposition who are scoring goals for fun at the moment. Everton have scored 14 times in their last 4 matches, and the likes of Lukaku and Barkley are in great goal scoring form, and i expect them to play given the stage of the competition being the quarter finals. This may well be a close game, but i think Everton will do a lot of the attacking, despite McCarthy and Barry possibly not playing, and should have enough goal threat to score.
