Our first selection (Crystal Palace) is more down to the quality of their opponents (Sunderland) than Crystal Palace's quality. Don't get me wrong, Palace are a good side who beat Liverpool recently and were unlucky not to beat Man Utd, but it's more the fact that Sunderland are struggling so much that i pick Palace to win. Palace's form can often be a bit hit and miss, however Sunderland's away form is fairly consistent in that they tend to lose most of their games. They have managed 1 point from 6 away games, and that was against bottom of the table Villa. I don't see Sundarland's form changing much before the transfer window opens, so if Palace can perform like they did against Liverpool and Man Utd, this should be 3 points to Palace.
Our 2nd selection (Botosani) is also more about the quality of the opponent than Botosani's quality. Botosani are struggling this season, however newly promoted Voluntari are struggling more, especially away from home. They have 1 point from 8 away games and have only scored 5 goals yet conceded 18 in the process. Botosani are usually fairly strong at home, and despite not winning many this season, they have still only lost 2 of their 8 home games so should be able to avoid defeat against a team yet to win away from home this season.
