Feels like a while since we've had more than just international friendlies, U21 and U19 games, and obscure lower European leagues to make our selections from. The fixtures still aren't good compared with a normal weekend, however they are an improvement over most of this week.
Now the odds for our first selection (Ukraine) were too short at "Draw no bet" so i've had to only half cover the draw today, although i do personally expect the Ukraine to win the match. Ukraine have a superb home record, only losing 2 of their last 17 home games (Spain and Slovakia), both fairly tight games. There defence is most impressive at home though, conceding only 6 goals in those 17 games, and recording 11 clean sheets. Their opponents (Slovenia) struggle when away from home, with 8 losses from the last 10 away games, and their 2 wins were against weak opposition in San Marino and Lithuania. Ukraine will be looking to take a lead into the away leg of this play-off tie, so will be pushing hard for the win, which i expect them to get.
Our second selection (Falkirk) should on paper be a straight forward win, they currently sit 3rd in the Scotland Championship, with a fairly impressive 8 wins, 3 draws, and 2 losses. Their opponents currently sit bottom of the table, with 1 win, 2 draws, and 10 losses, they have the poorest attack with just 7 goals in 13 games, and the poorest defence conceding 28 goals in 13 games. Falkirk also come out well in the head2head record, winning the majority of their match-ups. Barring upsets, this should be a fairly safe selection.
