Our first selection (Middlesbrough) secured a dominant win which wasn't reflected in the 1-0 scoreline. Stewart Downing scored in the 16th minute, and despite dominating the rest of the game, no more goals were scored.
Our second selection (Coventry) were involved in a more exciting game, winning 4-3 and Joe Cole getting on the score sheet in his home debut. Coventry were in control for the majority of the game.

Todays 5fold acca was let down early by Atl Madrid failing to win against the far weaker FC Astana. Yes Astana's artificial pitch may have made things difficult, but the Atl Madrid players are some of the best in the world and paid in one week what some people take years to earn, they should have done better!
