Some of the weekends results gave the perfect examples of why i like to cover the draw as much as possible when picking my doubles. Take Plzen for example, they had 59% possession and 31 attempts on goal, and were playing 10 men for nearly half the game yet they could only manage a 2-2 draw with Slovacko who only had 2 shots on target, but both happened to score. Far too often a team can be utterly dominant yet still not win, which makes backing the favourite trickier than you might think.
Mondays selections both have home advantage and the draw is covered. The first selection Liberec had a bad season last year, yet still only lost 3 games at home all season. I think they will be stronger this year as with most of the previous few years, and should have enough to come away with a win or draw against Dukla Prague.
Our second selection (Jonkopings) are currently topping their league after playing 18 games. They are very strong at home, winning 7 of the 9 home matches, losing only 1, and despite their opponents winning 4 of their 9 away games, they have all been against much weaker opposition. In terms of head2head records, Jonkopings have won their last 5 match-ups against Assyriska FF, so all in all they should also have enough to come away with a win or draw.
