England Premier League

Kick off at 7:15pm GMT
Venue: Molineux Stadium
Match Preview:
Perhaps it is fitting that Wolves and Tottenham are meeting at this time given that both clubs have been knocked down a peg or two in the last week.
Wolves, who have at times looked brilliant have lost 3 of their last four games including last weekend’s loss at Burnley and have slipped down to 11th place. Yet in between all of this have enjoyed a win over Chelsea, this is Wolves in summary and despite poor form the club cannot be written off.
At home though 3 wins from seven is not a great return and they have just 1 win from their last three matches. But victory at the weekend could take the club up a couple of places and set them up for their next game and they could go within 2 points of their visitors.
Tottenham have fallen but not from a great height, they still have the chance of course to recover but they received a double blow over the last week. First it was defeat at Liverpool that would have really hurt given that the game was heading for a 1-1 draw until Roberto Firmino popped up with his head in the 95th minute. That defeat followed another, this time at home and it was against a top 4 rival in Leicester. Suddenly from 1st place Tottenham are now 5th and have gone six points behind Liverpool. That is how quick the situation can change in the Premier League.
For Tottenham it is just 1 win in their past five games and on form they would be in 15th place. Jose Mourinho will be hoping this is as bad as it gets for the club and they desperately need to return to winning ways at the weekend. Away from home Tottenham have won 4 from seven and lost just once but have no wins on the road for the past six weeks.
Team News:
Wolves: Leander Dendoncker has a knock which kept him out of the Burnley game and will be assessed ahead of this one.
Tottenham: Giovani Lo Celso will be assessed but is a doubt after a muslce problem. Erik Lamela is still out and Japhet Tanganga will likely miss the rest of the year due to a shoulder dislocation.
Wolves vs Tottenham Head to Head:
Last season Tottenham won this game 2-1.
Wolves haven’t beaten Tottenham when at home since 2010.
The last 5 meetings has seen both teams to score.
Wolves vs Tottenham Prediction:
This match will tell us about the mental strength of Tottenham this season, it is that important. Tottenham with 2 defeats in a row could slip down to 8th or 9th and be 9 points behind Liverpool after next weekend if they lose this match and then no one will be talking of league titles anymore.
It is sure that Mourinho will be drilling this into his players, this is a cup final for Tottenham make no mistake. Their objectives this season are not about qualifying for the Champions League, Mourinho wants more than that, he wants titles and silverware at the club.
As for Wolves their objectives will be about qualifying for Europe and even if they lose this match we know they can recover and go on a good run. We also know given how they beat Chelsea that they remain a very dangerous team and if Tottenham are not at 100% they will beat them. We will back Tottenham to be fully focused though and come away with the win.
We also think there is a good amount of value in the goals market, so we will back at least a couple in this match (2 for a refund, 3+ for a win).
