England Premier League
Saturday 3rd November 2018
Kick off at 7.45pm GMT
Venue: Molineux Stadium
Match Preview:
In the summer there had been major talk of holding a Premier League game on Saturday evening and yet nothing came of it until now. Wolves and Tottenham will kick off a new experiment for worldwide television in what the Premier League hopes is a successful venture, only time will tell.
Wolves have been brilliant this season but the last few weeks have taken its toll. They come into this game having lost their last two in a row coming against Watford and Brighton. Indeed it would be easy to remind ourselves that Watford also hit a wall a few weeks ago and yet came back strong and that is what Wolves will be hoping to do.
The home side have lost just 1 game at home so far but have still not been totally convincing drawing two of their games and winning two. And they have had to go back to the drawing board, and put in extra training and drills this week ahead of this crucial and difficult fixture.
Tottenham lost to Manchester City 1-0 at home last weekend, which has left them slightly off the pace and five points behind the league leaders. They did get a great 3-1 win over West Ham in the Carabao Cup in midweek, but the feeling is that Tottenham are just a level below the very best teams in the league.
However they have remained resilient and we must remind ourselves that they have won 7 matches from 10 this season. Tottenham have the best away record in the league losing just one game and come here after winning their last 3 in a row.
One eye will be on their Champions League game where they face PSV at home. Lose or draw that and their chances will be over. They will also be hoping that Barcelona beat Inter Milan to give themselves a small chance of qualification. On top of this manager Pochettino has been linked to the vacant job at Real Madrid, which cannot have helped the teams mind-set.
