Wolves vs Burnley: Preview & Prediction

England Premier League

Kick off at 7:30pm GMT
Venue: Molineux Stadium

Match Preview:

Wolves have climbed up to 6th place and so far it has been a fantastic run for the new man in charge Bruno Lage. It’s just one defeat in their last five and this past weekend they drew against Norwich. Though drawing against Norwich would have been seen as a poor result, the Canaries have really improved in recent weeks under Dean Smith.

Wolves will be favourites to win this game and they could go 5th if Arsenal drop points in midweek. The club have not drawn any games at home and from six games so far they have won 3 and lost 3. The great news for the club is that they have won their last 3 home games in a row. Wolves last home match finished in a good 1-0 win over another in form side in West Ham.

Burnley are in 18th place but have gone their last 4 games without defeat so it does look like Sean Dyche’s team are turning a corner. They have also had a good rest given that their game at the weekend against Tottenham was called off due to the bad weather. The clubs last 2 games have finished with a draw at Chelsea and a 3-3 draw against Crystal Palace and the club have shown some mettle in recent weeks and shouldn’t be pushovers in this game even if they will start as the outsiders.

Team News:

Wolves: Willy Boly is out with a muscle injury. Ruben Neves is suspended for this game as he has picked up his fifth yellow card of the season, so misses out. Yerson Mosquera and Jonny are out long term. Pedro Neto is still out with a knee injury but could return at the beginning of December.

Burnley: James Tarkowski and Ashley Westwood were all set to miss the game vs Tottenham because they have both picked up their fifth yellow cards of the season. However with that game cancelled the suspension follows through to this game. Ashley Barnes is out with a thigh injury. Jay Rodriguez should return from a muscle injury.

Wolves vs Burnley Head to Head:

Last season Burnley had very good memories here as they thrashed Wolves 4-0.

It’s been six games since Wolves beat Burnley going back to 2018 when they won at home 1-0.

There is a 70% chance to see under 2.5 goals.

Wolves vs Burnley Prediction:

Burnley have made Wolves really work for anything in recent results and have certainly had the better of them in recent games. This will be interesting because there is a lot of value in backing Burnley after Wolves’ positive start and of course they will be at home.

But Burnley have performed well over Wolves in the last few seasons and they are in good form although still struggling to achieve wins. This is why it could be worth backing Sean Dyche’s team on the double chance covering the draw at the same time which Burnley have been famous for getting this season.

Wolves vs Burnley Betting Tips:

Double Chance: Burnley win or draw at 1.80

Correct Score: 0-0 or 1-1 at 8.00 and 6.00
