Wolves vs Bournemouth: Preview and Prediction

England Premier League
Wednesday 24th June 2020
Kick off at 6pm BST
Venue: Molineux Stadium

Match Preview:

Wolves have restarted the season in fine fashion beating West Ham away 2-0 and that result has put the club into 6th place and right in the mix.

The club have the same points as Manchester United and are just five points from a Champions League finish. Though that may be too much of a stretch for the club a Europa League place does look like a possibility, and it would have been encouraging to see the club get a win at the weekend.

In defence Wolves have really shined and in fact they have now kept 4 clean sheets from the last five Premier League games. One gets the feeling that the team will be looking forward to this match, one in which they will start as favourites and should win.

Bournemouth are 18th and only goal difference means they are not safe, but the omens do not look good for Eddie Howe’s side. They have lost 17 games this season and that includes 4 from their last five. In their first match back they were beaten at home 2-0 by Crystal Palace.

The club are amongst the favourites to go down, but could still be saved with a decent run, they do keep conceding goals though and if Wolves score against them that will be their 50th goal shipped, only 4 other clubs have a worse record.

Team News:

Wolves: The club have no new injuries coming into this game.

Bournemouth: Joshua King has a knock and will face a test

Wolves vs Bournemouth Prediction:

Wolves will be the favourites but they will have to be focused to win this game. It’s difficult to go against Wolves and striker Raul Jimenez has already got off the mark with a goal against West Ham.

Bournemouth look likely to go down even though they have many chances to save themselves, but if they are going to save themselves it probably won’t be in games like this. Wolves are strong, adaptable, and like they did against West Ham can suck the life out of you, drain you and take the game over with their own pace. This looks like being another struggle for Bournemouth.

Wolves vs Bournemouth Betting Tips:

Wolves to score 2+ goals at 1.80

Anytime goalscorer: Raul Jimenez at 2.10
