England Premier League
Wednesday 31st August 2022
Kick off at 7:45pm BST
Venue: London Stadium
Match Preview:
He probably won’t start the game but the talk at the London Stadium has been all about Lucas Paqueta the Brazilian international who has arrived for a club record fee believed to be £60m plus. Paqueta impressed for Ligue 1 side Lyon and this could be a real coup for David Moyes side.
Paqueta will need to make an instant impact one would suspect given the Hammers start to the season which has been a quiet one. The club recorded their first goal and victory of the season at the weekend though as they beat Aston Villa away from home by 1-0. It will only take a couple of more wins to have the club raise up the table and this early season form can be forgotten about but they have a formidable opponent to get past first.
Tottenham are looking very strong and come into this game in 3rd place with the same points as 2nd placed Manchester City. The only points the club has dropped so far came away to Chelsea in a 2-2 draw and Antonio Conte’s side are so far unbeaten. At the weekend they eased past Nottingham Forest by 2-0 with Harry Kane scoring both goals and Kane is already in electric form for the club. They have 9 goals already and they look super confident coming into this game which should be explosive as always.

West Ham vs Tottenham Prediction:
Does form go out the window when we have a derby game? Sometimes it can and this is also a fierce London derby with no love between the sides at all. We also know that West Ham throughout the years have been adept at raising their game against the so called top six sides and giving them a hard time and coming away with a surprise victory. So a lot can happen in this game. We wouldn’t be surprised to see many ‘boiling over’ moments and backing a red card to be shown in the game should be taken on. West Ham are a much better side than we have seen so far and over the next month it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the club vastly improve. Some of their key players have been under performing though and manager Moyes may be looking to new signings to make the difference. Gianluca Scamacca could be that man but at the same time this is quite a game and so early on in his career for him to take it onto his shoulders. The bottom line is that this game is one the Hammers can win but it may have come too early in the season for them
Tottenham can’t let the occasion get to them and we seen that against Chelsea this side hold no fear, could this be the moment when Tottenham push on in what is still going to be a difficult away tie?
