England Premier League
Saturday 2nd November 2019
Kick off at 3pm GMT
Venue: Olympic Stadium
Match Preview:
West Ham have been neither brilliant or poor this season but they have been underwhelming as Manuel Pellegrini navigates his second season with the club. At the weekend they will take on Newcastle at the Olympic Stadium.
The Hammers have not won a game for five weeks and that has resulted in them falling to 10th place. Their last game ended in a 1-1 draw at this stadium against Sheffield United. In short the team are due a win and playing Newcastle could be the perfect tonic for the club.
West Ham need to improve at home and based just on home matches alone would be in 13th place. They come into this game with no wins at home in their last two matches.
Newcastle are in 17th position and last weekend they drew 1-1 at home to Wolves. They are plodding away and getting odd points here and there but there is no stability to them and at present might face a relegation battle throughout the season. The club have won just 1 game in their past five matches.
The Magpies away form is poor with 4 defeats from the five they have played. The win was against Tottenham and their last away match ended in a 1-0 loss at Chelsea.
