Match Preview:
West Ham will face their toughest opponent on Saturday as the Hammers will welcome the champions Manchester City to the London Stadium.
City will start as the big odds on favourites to extend their unbeaten start to the Premier League campaign to 13 games. However West Ham despite being poor this season have already raised their game against the better sides in the league. This was evidenced in their 3-1 win over Manchester United and then drawing 0-0 with Chelsea.
If the truth be told though Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini will be fearing having to play his former club after some of West Ham’s more recent results. These have included a draw against Huddersfield and the fact that the club only have 1 win in their last five games.
Manchester City just look like champions again, but Liverpool and Chelsea remain a threat and City will need to kick on. The Citizens come into this game having won their last 4 and away from home they have won 11 points from a possible 15. They have scored 9 goals and conceded just 1, along with Chelsea that is the best record in the league.

West Ham: Ryan Fredericks is out for 3 months after picking up a shin injury in the last league game. Robert Snodgrass is suspended for this game after picking up his fifth yellow card
Manchester City: Bernardo Silva could be a doubt after picking up a knock on international duty. Benjamin Mendy is out after under going an operation on his knee. Nicolas Otamendi has a tendon injury and will be assessed

City are big odds on to win the game and yet if the Hammers forced a draw it may not be a surprise to some. But we are going to go with form and history and it seems a little foolish to actually back against Manchester City at this stage of the season, or any, such is their talent.
City should be able to score a few goals and ease to victory here. West Ham will raise their game but Guardiola will understand that if his team can score early it will change the whole outlook for the home side. It’s interesting to note that on City’s last 3 trips to West Ham they have been winning at half time.
