England Premier League

Venue: Olympic Stadium
Match Preview:
West Ham and Liverpool will play their game in hand on Wednesday night and the two teams objectives could not be any different.
For West Ham relegation is looking like a real possibility and whilst David Moyes has only been in the job for a month he hasn’t started his 2nd stint at the club well.
The 4-0 whitewash over Bournemouth in Moyes’ first game back seems like a long time ago now. Since then the Hammers have lost to Sheffield United, drew at home to Everton, lost 4-1 at Leicester and have been knocked out of the FA Cup by West Bromwich Albion who didn’t even play their strongest side.
The WBA defeat would have hit home hard given that the Hammers were at home and that Albion’s manager is Slaven Bilic a former manager for course at West Ham and regarded as a cult player by the fans.
Moyes look like he will have one of his toughest assignments keeping the club in the Premier League and they come into this game in 17th place with only goal difference keeping them from the bottom three. With just 4 points earned in the last five games their home form has seen the club win just 3 games this season, though they are unbeaten in the league at home with Moyes as manager.
Liverpool are 16 points clear of Manchester City in 2nd so a win here would mean that they could, in effect, be able to wrap up the league title by the 32nd game.
The Reds are still unbeaten and it is obvious that they are going for this record, only Preston North End in 1888 and Arsenal in 2004 have gone the season unbeaten. Liverpool have won their last 10 games in a row and we could, quite frankly, write a book on their plaudits this season. It hasn’t all been great in other competitions though and at the weekend the club drew 2-2 with League one side Shrewsbury after being 2-0 up. Though Liverpool dropped most of their main players they were forced into bringing on Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, but to no avail and the club will now have a replay on their hands.
Team News:
West Ham: Felipe Anderson has been ruled out with a back injury and could miss the next month. Robert Snodgrass could return after a minor knee injury.
Liverpool: The big news for Liverpool is that Sadio Mane will miss this game with a muscle injury but it is thought to be minor. James Milner is 50/50 to return for this game after recovering from a muscle injury.
West Ham vs Liverpool Head to Head:
Last season this fixture finished 1-1.
West Ham have not won at home against Liverpool going back to 2016, three meetings ago.
Liverpool have scored 17 goals against West Ham in the last 5 league games.
West Ham vs Liverpool Prediction:
Liverpool are around 1.30 to win this game and West Ham can be backed at 8.00 even though they are the home team and that should tell you everything you need to know here. Sadio Mane will be a big loss for Klopp’s side but they have strength all over the pitch. Football can create shocks but we can’t see West Ham getting anything here. They have been very poor lately and there is a feeling that perhaps Moyes has lost some players already. There doesn’t seem like much hope for the club who are short on confidence but sometimes as we have seen in the past they are able to raise their game against the very best sides. Last season this match was a draw, the season before Liverpool came here and stuck 4 goals in the net, but teams managed by Moyes usually set up very defensively against the bigger clubs. Only complacency will defeat Liverpool, and this team look too well drilled for that to happen on Wednesday night, however whether this will be a high scoring or a narrow Liverpool win is a tough one to predict based on recent form.
