West Ham vs Everton: Preview and Prediction

England Premier League
Saturday 30th March 2019
Kick off at 5:30pm GMT
Venue: Olympic Stadium

Match Preview:

The Saturday evening game will take place between two teams who have had similar seasons, West Ham and Everton.

The Hammers form has been patchy but they have won 3 out of their last five games. Their last win came against Huddersfield in a thrilling 4-3 win but it was a game where Javier Hernandez had to save his teams blushes against the bottom side, and West Ham despite a dramatic comeback did not play well.

West Ham have won 50% of their home games and their recent home record is very good with 3 wins in a row and they are undefeated in front of their home fans this year.

Everton got a major boost before the break by beating Chelsea 2-0 at Goodison Park. It was a much needed win and they come into this game just 2 points behind The Hammers.

Marco Silva’s team have lost 8 times from 15 games away from home and won just 4 times all season. While they haven’t been poor on the road they have been underwhelming. The other problem for Everton has been consistency and it has been a while since they have been able to string a few wins together, this game gives them that opportunity and a win would see them go past West Ham.

Team News:

West Ham: Andy Carroll is a major doubt with an ankle injury, Samir Nasri has a calf injury and is 50/50

Everton: Yerry Mina has a hamstring injury which he picked up on international duty and has been ruled out of this game. Mina is the only doubt for the club

West Ham vs Everton Head to Head:

West Ham have won the last 2 meetings against Everton and the score line has finished the same on both times, 3-1.

Everton have not won at West Ham since 2015.

There is a 70% chance to see over 2.5 goals.

West Ham vs Everton Prediction:

This is one of the most difficult matches to predict this weekend. The reason is how similar the teams have been through consistency. Whichever team starts the game on the positive footing is likely to win it.

Everton have had some success over West Ham historically but this has usually been at home, however we are going to opt for Everton to win in London but with the draw covered and surprise The Hammers and finally win back to back games. We also think their could be a few goals in this match, historically there is, and both teams to score looks likely.

West Ham vs Everton Betting Tips:

Draw no bet (Everton) at 2.10

Both teams to score (Yes) at 1.66

Total goals - Over 2.5 at 1.80
