West Ham vs Burnley: Preview and Prediction

England Premier League
Saturday 3rd November 2018
Kick off at 3pm GMT
Venue: Olympic Stadium

Match Preview:

West Ham’s season has taken a real dip in recent weeks thanks mostly to their eternal rivals Tottenham. The club have lost to Spurs twice in a single week, in the Premier League and then were dumped out of the Carabao Cup against them. Both of these losses happened at home which just rubbed salt in the wounds.

The Hammers are in 13th place with just 8 points and have no wins in their last 3 games. At home they have just one victory, which ironically came against Manchester United of all teams and on the face of it Manuel Pellegrini has got off to a nightmare start at the club.

Burnley have the same points after a poor start to the season and come into this game with the same form as their opponents having not won a game in their last three.

They have conceded 9 goals in their last two games although they have had to face both Manchester City and Chelsea, the last two Premier League Champions. Away form is poor with one win in five and they have conceded 11 goals so far.

Team News:

West Ham: Andy Carroll is back in training but is expected not to fully return after the international break. Mark Noble is serving a 3 game match ban after his sending off against Leicester. Andriy Yarmolenko is out until March next year

Burnley: Jack Cork could make a return after his achilles injury.

West Ham vs Burnley Head to Head:

Last season Burnley came here and won 3-0.

From the last 8 meetings Burnley have won just 1 game.

There is a 60% chance based on recent results to see over 2.5 goals.

West Ham vs Burnley Prediction:

Another very close game will take place at the weekend. West Ham need this win as frustration amongst supporters is starting to grow. But Burnley remains the typical banana skin for a club like West Ham and it’s difficult to put all of our confidence in the team. What we have noticed is the amount of corners the Hammers have been producing at home lately. Over 25 in their last two home games. This is a match where we would like to concentrate on different markets, because as their league standings suggest there is very little between the teams.

West Ham vs Burnley Betting Tips:

West Ham to have 7+ corners in the game at 2.38

Anytime goalscorer: Felipe Anderson at 4.00

Anytime goalscorer: Chris Wood at 4.00
