Match Preview:

Finally the West Ham board snapped and sacked Manuel Pellegrini after the home defeat to Leicester. The Hammers had been on a terrible run that had seen the club earn 7 points from their last 30 and as a result they are now in 17th place and just one point above the relegation zone.

Considering some of the attacking players that the club have bought this has been a desperate season for West Ham and some fans are none to pleased to find out Pellegrini’s replacement is none other than David Moyes.

Moyes of course is most famous for his 11 year reign at Everton but he has already been in charge of West Ham before just two years ago where his win rate was under 30% and he won just 9 games from 31. The move for Moyes seems like one to stable the ship but one has to question if the Scotsman still has the touch to keep West Ham competitive.

The Hammers have lost 4 of their last five games and at home they have the worst record in the league winning just 7 points from a possible 27 and have lost their last 4 games in a row. The thought process is that things can’t get much worse for the London club.

Bournemouth are in 16th place and have one more point than their hosts. Their last game ended in a 2-0 defeat to Brighton and this game marks the 2nd match in a row they will be away from home.

Form for Eddie Howe’s side has not been good and on the road they have won just 30% of games. They have lost 4 of their last five games and in that respect both clubs come into this match with the same form.

Team News:

West Ham: Andriy Yarmolenko has a knock which kept him out of the last game he will be assessed for this match. Second choice goal keeper David Martin could be available after his muscle injury.

Bournemouth: Simon Francis is 50/50 after picking up a recent knock. Jordan Ibe is ill but will face a test before the game. Joshua King, Jefferson Lerma and Jack Stacey have all picked up hamstring injuries at this time the injuries are not thought to be serious, but will be assessed.

West Ham vs Bournemouth Head to Head:

Last season Bournemouth won this game 2-1.

Earlier in the season in the reverse match the game ended 2-2.

West Ham have not beaten Bournemouth at home for 3 meetings going back to 2016.

West Ham vs Bournemouth Prediction:

The new manager effect usually has a very good win rate and we are backing West Ham to get back to winning ways here. They clearly needed a change of manager, whether Moyes is the right choice or not we will find out soon enough but good or bad, we do expect Moyes to arrive on a positive note and maybe the players will just be relieved not to have Pellegrini in charge. Both clubs are in poor form and under confidence but with West Ham being at home and the new manager effect we simply can’t go against them here. We're also backing an outsider in the goalscorer market, Felipe Anderson was a game changer last season, with 9 goals to his name. This season he's yet to score, so he's certainly due a goal, maybe David Moyes' arrival will bring back the Felipe Anderson who can destroy teams single handed.

West Ham vs Bournemouth Betting Tips:

Anytime goalscorer: Felipe Anderson at 3.90
