Weekend Previews & Predictions by Kully Bahia
Aberdeen v Ross County (25th Feb 2017)
Aberdeen have now won four consecutive games in all competitions, and nine out of their last ten, only losing 1-0 to runaway leaders Celtic. Lying second in the Scottish premiership, six points clear of third place Rangers, they will have to settle for runners up this year, which is still a great effort. Ross County have struggled lately, drawing once and losing four in their last five games in all competitions, and their League form is won one, drawn one and lost five of their last seven games. Lying ninth in the table, six points above bottom of the table Inverness CT, their away form is won one, drawn five and lost five. Having conceded six goals in their last three away games doesn't help either, as well as having already lost 4-0 to Aberdeen earlier this season. Aberdeen have won six of their last seven home games in all competitions, scoring 23 goals. Expect more of the same on Saturday as the Dons give another thrashing to Ross County. Likely bet is Over 2.5 goals at odds of 13/20
Score prediction: Aberdeen win 3-1 (Odds 11/1)
Everton v Sunderland (25th Feb 2017)
Everton will fancy themselves to bag another three points at home this weekend, having won seven, drawn four, and lost only one at home this season. Koeman has bought well in January, and the squad is reaping the rewards. Their only home loss has been to Liverpool, which is also the only game where they have been unable to score. They've won their last three home games and have scored thirteen goals in the process, with three massive wins over Southampton, Man City, and Bournemouth, with scores of 3-0, 4-0, and 6-3 respectively. On top of that, Ross Barkley has rediscovered the form which had the media speculating about a £30m+ transfer deal. With only thirteen league games left to play, the Toffees will look to finish the season in fine form. Sunderland have terrible away form, losing a nine and drawing once, with their only away wins coming against fellow strugglers Bournemouth and Crystal Palace, and scoring only 0.8 goals per game on average. Sunderland’s success is dependent on top scorer Defoe, feed him good service and he'll find the back of the net. Moyes will most likely make the journey back to Sunderland without a result this Saturday. Likely bet is Over 2.5 goals at odds of 8/13
Score prediction: Everton to win 3-1 (Odds 10/1)
Eibar v Malaga (25th Feb 2017)
This game is from La liga in Spain, and pits Eibar who are in decent form against Malaga, who are in a terrible run of form. Eibar have won 58% of their home games this season, surprising many in the league. Prior to losing last week to one of the top teams Sevilla, they had won three on the bounce, scoring eleven goals. They've improved as the season has passed, and should maintain that form going into this game. Malaga have been struggling lately, prior to beating Las Palmas last week 2-1 at home, they hadn't won in eleven games. Injuries to the squad have played their part, however they do play well at home, even beating today’s hosts 2-1 earlier this season. It's away from home where the major problems lie, not winning in their last fifteen Liga games. Eibar will eye three points from this game, but Malaga may park the bus looking for a draw. Likely bet Eibar to win odds of 19/20
Score prediction: Eibar to win 2-1@15/2
