Match Preview:
Both teams look safe but Watford on 38 points would still feel more comfortable with another couple of points under their belts. They come into this game in 13th place having suffered a routine 2-0 loss away to Tottenham. The Hornets have no wins in the league for two months and have been very poor.
At Vicarage Road it’s been two draws and a loss in their last three games and the most worrying aspect is that their bad results have been happening against teams who have underperformed this season.
Newcastle’s form has taken a nosedive but they are safe in 10th place on 41 points. After having a good few weeks the club have lost their last 2 games against Everton and then West Brom by the same score line of 1-0.
The West Brom loss was a poor one given that the Magpies were at home, but the incentive to win has reduced now and that always plays a big part.
Newcastle have been poor on the road losing 9 games with one win in their past six which came when they beat Leicester 2-1 another side struggling for form.
