Watford’s brilliant start to the season has hit a wall and they have gone their last 3 games without a win. Manchester United and Arsenal defeats plus a draw against Fulham sandwiched in between has seen the Hornets fall to 6^th place and leave a sting in the tail for fans. However the club should not feel sorry for themselves and are still in a great position, and a win here could push them back into the top 5 depending on other results. At home Watford have been solid with just the one loss to Manchester United otherwise they have 3 wins from 4 games.

Bournemouth have the same points as their hosts and are just one place below them on goal difference. It’s fair to say that we are seeing the two teams that have really surprised us so far in the Premier League. Whilst Bournemouth have been very solid at home they have one of the poorest away records in the league with just 33% of games won on the road. Their last away game came in the 4-0 thrashing they took at Burnley.

Watford have the quality and intensity to do a Burnley over Bournemouth but we think the game will be much closer than that. Our main bet will be to see more goals in the 2^nd half of this game as the match gets stretched because both will play cautious in the opening exchanges. We are not dealing with the over confident and vibrant Watford team of a few weeks ago as they have been on a poor run and will just want to get some confidence back into the team.
