Draw no bet (Walsall)Plymouth vs Notts County -
Goal line (Over 2) Odds: 1.77 Bet365 (At time of posting)
Leagues: England League 1 and League 2
Betting Tip Previews:Slightly shorter odds than usual for this double, but it feels by far the safest of all the selections today, so better to reduce the odds a little if the chances of winning increase.
Our first selection (Draw no bet - Walsall) should stand a great chance on paper. Walsall are sitting in a mid-table position, with their recent form justifying that position, however their recent home form as been very impressive. At Bescot Stadium they have won 4 of their last 5 games, with 3 of those wins being by a 2 or more goal margin, and even managing a 4-1 win over leaders Sheffield Utd along the way. The main difference between Walsall playing home or away is their greater ability to score when playing at home, scoring 28 goals in 16 home games yet scoring only 13 goals in 18 away games. Their opponents tonight (Chesterfield) are 2nd from bottom and it's largely down to some terrible away performances. On their travels, Chesterfield have managed only 1 win, 4 draws, and 12 loses, scoring only 12 goals yet conceding 30 goals. In terms of form, they have only managed 2 draws and 3 losses from their last 5 games, scoring only 3 goals and conceding 10. So with Walsall having home advantage and the draw being covered in this selection, it should stand a great chance.
Our second selection (Goal line - Over 2) in the Plymouth vs Notts County should have a good level of safety looking at previous games this season. At home Plymouth's games have averaged 3.3 goals this season, and of their 16 home games so far, 15 of them have contained 2 or more goals. Their high goals per game average is largely down to their scoring record of nearly 2 goals per game on average, however they have still been prone to conceding, with 22 conceded in 16 home games. Away from home Notts County's games have averaged an even higher 3.5 goals this season, and of their 15 away games so far, all 15 of them have contained 2 or more goals. Their high goals per game average is this time largely down to the number of goals they concede, with 33 conceded in 15 away games, however they still score over 1 goal per game on average. Therefore these two teams also stand a great chance of winning a "both teams to score" selection, meaning to simply get 2 or more goals in our selection should be very achievable.
