England Premier League

Kick off at 2pm BST
Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Match Preview:
Time is running out for Tottenham in order to finish in 4th place and any dropped points here if Arsenal win could spell disaster for the club.
Tottenham are in 5th place and have 58 points and are just two behind Arsenal but they come into this game in disappointing form having no wins from their last two games. A defeat against Southampton was followed by a 0-0 result against Brentford. As manager Antonio Conte has realised with Tottenham you never know what is coming next given that before those games Tottenham were in superb form and scoring goals for fun. Tottenham do have a good chance of finishing 5th as they are 3 points in front of Manchester United and have two games in hand but the club only want to play Champions League football for next season.
Tottenham have been solid at times this season but at home they have still lost five games and perhaps that is going to be too much at this level of trying to finish 4th. It is still open though for 4th and Tottenham and Arsenal still have to play one another in what will surely be a mouthwatering fixture next month.
Leicester are trying to finish in the top half of the table and come into this game in 10th place with 42 points and they are just a point behind 9th placed Newcastle but also have 2 games in hand over them. Leicester’s form has been dogged with draws but in fairness the club have put in some solid games given that they are fighting for little in the league and that they have been without striker Jamie Vardy for so long. The Foxes have drawn their last two games and their last game finished with a 0-0 result at home to Aston Villa.
On the road the Foxes have suffered and have the 4th worst away record in the league winning 14 points from 48. They have lost 50% of their games on the road with their last win coming two months ago against Burnley.
Team News:
Tottenham: There are no new injuries for the club but their long term absentee list is growing. Sergio Reguilon (groin), Matt Doherty (knee), Oliver Skipp (groin) and Japhet Tanganga (knee)- they all look set to miss the rest of the season.
Leicester: Eldin Jakupovic has a knock and is only 50/50 to return for this game. Ndidi and Ryan Bertrand are both out for the season with a knee injury.
Tottenham vs Leicester Head to Head:
Last season Leicester won this fixture 2-0.
Earlier in the season in the reverse fixture Tottenham won 3-2.
Tottenham have beaten Leicester seven times from the last 10 meetings.
The last two meetings has seen 11 goals.
Tottenham vs Leicester Prediction:
We can’t think of any excuse of why Tottenham would not win this game. Let’s start with Leicester first. Considering a European finish is beyond them this season we have to pay respects to Brendan Rodgers side who rarely make it easy for any teams to get points from them. You know you’ve been in a game with them. But Leicester really does have bigger fish to fry and that comes in the Europa Conference League where they will play their 2nd leg match in Italy next week. The first leg against Roma for a place in the final ended 1-1 in midweek and one has to wonder if Rodgers will drop a few players with that game in mind.
Tottenham know what they need to do and really have no excuses not to play their best and win this game. A month ago Harry Kane looked back to his best but he’s now had a few quiet games since but we will back him to get a goal in this game and perform to his normal levels. Kane has scored 4 goals in their last five meetings and he usually does very well against the Foxes. For better value given that Tottenham are 1.44 to win it might be wiser to back the "-1 asian handicap" market for the home win.
Tottenham vs Leicester Betting Tips:
Asian handicap (-1 Tottenham) at 1.625
Anytime goalscorer: Harry Kane at 1.66
