England Premier League
Saturday 6th October 2018
Kick off at 3pm BST
Venue: Wembley Stadium
Match Preview:
Tottenham will be big favourites to win this game but first they will have to adjust back to the challenges of the Premier League. In midweek they were beaten 4-2 at Wembley against Barcelona in the Champions League and whilst they looked like they were on a comeback trail having been 2-0 down they were also outclassed. The loss means that Tottenham are almost out of the competition and this game will tell us more about the teams mental strength.
In fairness Mauricio Pochettino had key players injured for the European clash including quality like Dele Alli but on paper and with the team they have, Tottenham are not expected to lose any points in this game. Spurs come into this game having won their last two matches in a row and at Wembley this season they have only played 2 games, which was a routine win over Fulham and a loss to Liverpool. The good news is that Hugo Lloris is back after his injury setback.
Neil Warnock’s Cardiff have not been as poor as their league standing would suggest but at the same time they do not look like Premier League material. After 7 games they are still searching for their first win and have lost 5 of those matches. They are currently on a 4 game losing streak and along with Fulham and Huddersfield they have conceded the most goals so far with 16.
Away form as expected is poor with just 1 point won from a possible 9, they have conceded 6 times on the road so less than at home but they have only scored one goal which ironically came at Chelsea in their last away game that they ended up losing 4-1.
