England Premier League
Sunday 12th July 2020
Kick off at 4.30pm BST
Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Match Preview:
What a time to stage the North London derby where both teams are fighting for a place in Europe. It is games like this that remind you of the pandemic and how there will historically be no fans present at the game, the atmosphere in derby games is second to none. However this is the new reality, the good news is that with yellow cards still flying around players are still passionate and this should be a cracking game.
Tottenham are in 10th place and would go above Arsenal with a win, or Arsenal could pull 4 points clear of their rivals. Tottenham beat Everton 1-0 in a recent game in what was a dull encounter but Spurs got 3 valuable points nonetheless, however they followed that up with being unable to beat Bournemouth. It has given them a chance for European football next season but the Champions League is a distant dream. The club have won 2 of their last 5 games. At home they have the 5th best record and have won 10 games from 17 and lost 4 here. In their last 3 home games since the restart they have won 7 points and conceded just once.
Arsenal have been positive in recent weeks and would be in 3rd place on form. The Gunners are unbeaten in their last 4 games and in all competitions were going for 5 wins in a row but they drew their last game at home against Leicester 1-1. They have been scoring goals and have conceded just once in their past four games. On the road the clubs results are dominated by draws, there has been 8 of them so far but they have won their last two games in a row. Their last away game ended impressively with a 2-0 win over Wolves and if Arsenal were to win this game depending on results of course they could climb to 7th place.
Team News:
Tottenham: Eric Dier is suspended for this match, and Dele Alli could miss out again through injury.
Arsenal: Arsenal have numerous long term absentees, Eddie Nketiah is suspended after being sent off in their draw against Leicester. Mesut Ozil is doubtful to play.

Tottenham vs Arsenal Prediction:
We expect to see goals, back the main players to shine here. As for the game there appears to be a little more pressure on Tottenham here to win the derby and we feel this game could well end in a draw. Passions will run high and it might be worth backing the red card to be shown. The pace will be quick and both teams will go for victory.
Tottenham haven’t been quite convincing against the bigger teams above them, only victory here against Manchester City stands out and even then City were the better side. Arsenal have realy found their stride and if Tottenham are not at 100% they will get punished by the Gunners. But there might be a fear to lose this game for the home side who could well retreat in the second half if they are leading the game.
