Southampton were always going to be safe in the last few weeks and that is now confirmed, and now the team can play their final game of the season in front of their home fans and enjoy the game and try to plan for next season.

The problem with The Saints this season wasn’t just the amount of losses they racked up, mostly under former manager Mark Hughes with 17, but also the draws, 11 so far which equates to 30% of games. They could finish 15^th if they win here and Burnley lose to Arsenal, and positions are all important given the award money from the Premier League at the end of the season.

Southampton looked toothless in their 3-0 loss at West Ham last weekend, but at home they have lost just once in the past month and their last home match ended in a entertaining 3-3 draw against Bournemouth.

Huddersfield got one of their best results of the season last weekend by drawing 1-1 with Manchester United at home. It gave the fans something to cheer about in what has been an awful season for the club, who are guaranteed to finish bottom of the league.

They have won just once all season away from home and have earned 6 points on the road from a possible 54. They have conceded 9 goals without reply in their last two away games and have conceded a total of 44 goals on the road. Only Fulham have shipped more with 45.

Huddersfield: Erik Durm has a knock but will be assessed. Ben Hamer could miss this game with the same problem. Zanka should be back after recovering from illness
