If Southampton ever needed 3 points it would be this match, lose this and the Saints would be in huge trouble. The club enter this match in 18^th place 4 points behind Swansea and are in awful form having picked up just 1 point in their last 5 games.

Their last game against Leicester was a nervous one which they were able to draw 0-0 and that was the clubs first points in almost a month of football. Almost 60% of their points have come at home and they will be hoping that the fans can create a daunting atmosphere for the travelling team. They have not been able too in 2018 though and Southampton will have to be at their best to get anything from this game, as a draw just won’t cut it.

Bournemouth are on 38 points, and for the club to have any serious danger of relegation, it would take a huge meltdown not only by them but also for the teams below them to find great form. Yet lingering doubts remain, partially because they have been so poor recently.
