England Premier League
Saturday 14th September 2019
Kick off at 3pm BST
Venue: Bramall Lane
Match Preview:
Chris Wilder will be pleased with how his side Sheffield United have started the season. After 4 games the newly promoted Blades have 5 points and have lost just one game. Keep on this course of action and United will not be going directly down to the Championship which is the instant fear of any club promoted.
In their last game they stunned Chelsea no less by earning a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge and came back from 2-0 down. Whilst they were not the better team, they rode their luck, showed great spirit not to cave in and focused. This will be heart warming to Wilder but he will be hoping his team can carry that through when they return in front of their home fans to play Southampton.
The Saints are one of the most unpredictable teams this season, when one week they look like a side who should be finishing in the top half of the table and the next a side who could get sucked into the relegation zone later in the season.
They have bounced back after losing their first two games of the season with a win over Brighton and then a draw at home to Manchester United. Like the hosts comeback against Chelsea, Southampton did the same and came back from 1-0 down to draw 1-1 and earn a valuable point in the process.
Team News:
Sheffield United: Bryan Kean should return after a slight knock. John Fleck will be assessed ahead of the game but may not start after his hamstring injury last month.
