Nottm forest vs Brighton: Preview & Prediction

England Premier League
Saturday 25th November 2023
Kick off at 3pm GMT
Venue: City Ground

Match Preview:

Nottingham Forest come into this weekend in 14th place and are on course to reach 40 plus points and be safe for this season and that has to be the objective in only their second season in 25 years. Form has dipped though and it’s just one win in their last five games which came against Aston Villa. While that result was impressive it was followed up by defeat at West Ham. There are positives of late though because Forest are scoring goals five in their last two games and that is always a good sign.

Forest could move up 2-3 places which would be welcomed although they are 8 points clear of the bottom three it only takes a deadly patch of form to soon be joining them. At home the club have earned 9 points from 15 and are unbeaten with two wins and three draws. Their recent victory over Aston Villa ended a three game streak of draws.

Brighton aren’t losing too many games lately but they have drawn four of their last five which has dented their European hopes. The Seagulls have fallen to 8th place and are seven points adrift of the top four. The club's last three draws have come against Everton, Fulham and Sheffield United. These fixtures may have been seen a month ago as 9 points for Roberto De Zerbi’s side who have at times looked excellent but recent form has certainly dipped. Brighton have had some tough away games lately and that includes dropping points at Everton but also losing to Manchester City and being slaughtered 6-1 against Aston Villa. Indeed De Zerbi’s side have not won on the road since mid September when they beat Manchester United.

Nottm forest vs Brighton Prediction:

Nottingham Forest recorded a good win over Brighton last season and while the visitors possess the better quality we will be backing the home side here. Brighton have been brilliant at times but not consistent enough and their away form may well be their achilles heel. We do expect the club to get back on form and winning ways but Forest away are not an easy team to play. While many may expect the club to finish mid to lower table the fact that we are at the end of November and they are unbeaten at home is impressive.

The value on this game in all markets is very good and this fixture has a decent history of goals in it. We like the price of Morgan Gibbs-White who is 4.00 to score anytime and he did this in last season's fixture. We believe the Seagulls will play their part but that Forest will have too much for them at home.

Nottm forest vs Brighton Betting Tips:

Double chance (Nottingham Forest or draw) at 1.70

Anytime goalscorer: Morgan Gibbs-White at 4.00

Both teams to score at 1.60

Over 2.5 goals at 1.66
