Match Preview:
Nuno Espirto Santo started his managerial career with Nottingham Forest with a loss as the club were defeated 3-2 at home to Bournemouth and a new manager coming in and starting with a loss is usually a very bad sign. But is all forgiven? Forest followed that up with a terrific 3-1 win away to Newcastle. Not only had Forest been a goal down but up until then the Magpies had only lost once at home this season. This was Forest’s best result of the season so far and surely that is going to fire them up for this game. Forest have gone past Everton and into 16th place with 17 points but there is still danger for the side as they are only two points away from the bottom three. A win here would be huge and could see the club move up a further two places. Home has not been good for the club though who have lost their last 4 in a row here and have won just twice from 9 games played so far.
Manchester United rose from the ashes in their last game as they came back from being 2-0 down at half time against Aston Villa to win 3-2. United switched on the nostalgia and in the second half because a superb swashbuckling side ala like an Alex Ferguson team and were able to come back. That win ended a 3 game spell with no wins but recent form has hurt the club and they come into this game in 7th place and have 31 points and have seen West Ham go past them. European football does remain a possibility for next season but in which competition no one can tell right now but the likes of Brighton and Newcastle could well make that tricky for a side who cannot find any type of consistency. Recent away form has been poor from United with no wins in their last 3 and just 1 point earned from their last nine points. Indeed their last away win came back in November when they were able to beat Everton.

Nottm Forest vs Man Utd Head to Head:
Last season Manchester United won this fixture 2-0.
Manchester United have won the last 11 meetings in a row.
In the last four meetings the aggregate score would be 10-2 to Manchester United.
Nottm Forest vs Man Utd Prediction:
Nottingham Forest will be fired up for this game and Santo will want to put his first home defeat right and what a moment to try it in. Forest will feel that they have nothing to lose here and will come in and attack. They will remember how close they came to upsetting United earlier in the season in this reverse fixture when United squeezed through 3-2. Of course United themselves will be in a good mood after their terrific comeback against Aston Villa. With both camps in good mood we expect to see an intense but exciting game with plenty of chances for both sides.
United are a good price to win here and if they can click we could expect them to score a few goals, their side is far superior but of course time and again we have been let down by them, perhaps the Villa game has done the trick, but the price on United is probably too good to shy away from.
