Norwich vs Wolves: Preview & Prediction

England Premier League
Saturday 27th November 2021
Kick off at 3pm GMT
Venue: Carrow Road

Match Preview:

And just like that after suffering for the majority of the season and being named and shamed as the poorest side in the Premier League Norwich have won 2 games in a row. Those two victories have been significant as the club have moved from the bottom of the league up one place to 19th.

All of a sudden certain relegation doesn’t feel like a formality for Norwich and they are 3 points from safety. For the club one win came under Daniel Farke who was then sacked and one win has come under new manager Dean Smith as the Canaries beat Southampton 2-1 to win their first game at home this season. There will be an advantage to stay at home again but the club will be facing a very tough fixture on Saturday.

Wolves have moved up to 6th place as they shrugged off a 2-0 defeat against Crystal Palace to beat an in form West Ham side 1-0. It has been quite a season so far for Wolves who actually started slowly but are now just 4 points from a top four place. On the road Wolves have the 5th best record and have won 50% of their games so far however a 3 game winning streak has been stopped and indeed they have gone their last two away games without victory- drawing to Leeds and losing to Crystal Palace.

If Arsenal lose or draw and Wolves win they would go past the Gunners at the weekend. However the club have pressure from Tottenham, Manchester United and Brighton who could all surpass them if points are dropped here.

Team News:

Norwich: Sam Byram has recovered from long term injury however he is still struggling with fitness issues. He could be assessed ahead of this game but is expected to miss out once again. Christoph Zimmermann isn’t expected back for another 2-3 weeks after surgery on his ankle.

Wolves: Pedro Neto is being pencilled in to return in about 10 days time from his knee injury. Jonny and Yerson Mosquera are out longer term.

Norwich vs Wolves Head to Head:

The teams last played this fixture in 2019 and Wolves won 2-1.

Wolves have won 3 of the last four games between the sides with the other match finishing in a draw.

It’s been 4 years since Norwich beat Wolves.

There is a 60% chance to see both teams to score.

Norwich vs Wolves Prediction:

Wolves look like great value to win this game and we have to remember that even though Norwich are at home and have the wind between their tales so to speak they are not a very good side. This is a game that of course could go either way and Norwich have played some good football over the past couple of weeks but Wolves seem like a step up for the Canaries at this stage.

Let’s not forget that Wolves have won half of their away games so far this season and they have a very good recent record over Norwich and Raul Jimenez is scoring goals again so he will fancy his chances against a side who have conceded 27 goals this season. Even though Norwich have won their last two games they still conceded in each of them.

Norwich vs Wolves Betting Tips:

Goal line (Over 2) at 1.675
