Match Preview:
Norwich are back at the bottom of the league after they lost 1-0 to Aston Villa and Watford have picked up 4 points in their last two games which has not helped the Canaries in any way.
At the end of the day Norwich only have themselves to blame and have earned just 5 points from their last 30 available. A win could take the club back into 19th but that’s only if Watford lose or draw their next game and Norwich have the tougher fixture having to face Tottenham.
At home the club have the 2nd to worst record where they have earned just 7 points from a possible 27, and just 1 point from their last 15. They have conceded 22 goals already at home.
Tottenham’s overall form is good but they are not playing to their maximum potential and one suspects the club are on the edge where they could slip into brilliant mode one moment and meltdown mode the next.
Following the clubs 2-0 loss at home to Chelsea, they found themselves 1-0 down at home against Brighton on Boxing Day and questions at that point were being asked. However they did come back and win the game 2-1 in the end. Spurs are in 5th place and are 3 points behind Chelsea and a top 4 finish. They have won 3 of their last 5 games and away from home have lost 1 in their last four. Their last away match ended in an unconvincing win against Wolves.

Tottenham will be the favourites to win but there is a feeling that Norwich can give them a game. The Canaries clearly raise their game against the better sides, witness their 3-2 win here v Manchester City earlier in the season. Tottenham have 3 players out suspended and they will have to be at their best to get a win here. The problem with Mourinho’s side at this moment is they are a little gung-ho and are a side who do not always react well to going behind, even though they got away with it in their last game. There doesn’t seem much hope for Norwich though, form is poor and they keep getting dragged back in to the bottom of the league. They are losing pace and if Spurs are on it this could be a very difficult game for the club.
