Venue: Carrow Road
Match Preview:
Can Norwich win 3 games in a row? That will be the question surrounding this game and the likes of Leeds and Everton will be monitoring this game very closely. Of course the Canaries have already won 3 games in a row in all competitions as they impressively knocked Wolves out away from home by winning 1-0 in the FA Cup. Is it fair to say that Dean Smith’s team are on a roll?
It’s funny how football can change so quick because let’s face it at the turn of the year Norwich looked dead certs for relegation but that isn’t the case now after victories against Everton and Watford. At home the Canaries have just two wins so far but their last home game which finished in a 2-1 win over Everton stopped a 3 game losing run.
The important facts for Norwich who are in 17th place is that a win in midweek would take them level on points with Everton if they fail to beat Newcastle, but Smith’s side won’t be able to move up a position. However they could potentially move four points clear of the bottom three if results panned out their way.
Crystal Palace are 8 points clear of their hosts and come into this game in 13th place. The Eagles look safe this season and will feel another 10 points is more than achievable from the 16 games they have to play. Palace overcame Hartlepool 2-0 in the FA Cup at the weekend but in the league the Eagles have not won a game this year. Their last victory came against Norwich just after Christmas.
Palace could move up to 10th with a win here and if results around them went their way, and the objective for the club under Patrick Vieira would be around that position.
Team News:
Norwich: Tim Krul is out with a shoulder injury and won’t return until the end of the month at the earliest. Joshua Sargent is ill but has a chance to make this game. Jacob Sorensen has a knee injury and is a major doubt to be back for this game.
Crystal Palace: James McArthur and James Tomkins will both be assessed because of a lack of match fitness.
Norwich vs Crystal Palace Head to Head:

Earlier this season in the reverse fixture Crystal Palace won 3-0.
Norwich vs Crystal Palace Prediction:
A few weeks ago this game would have looked like being a Crystal Palace victory but you have to give credit to Norwich. They are a club who have fired themselves up in recent weeks, though you do have to wonder if the mini winter break ended up coming at the wrong time for a club who had found their form of the season so far?
Crystal Palace will have a real battle on their hands here though they have a terrific record against Norwich over the past decade. Palace have struggled for form though so that could well count against them but the win in the FA Cup even against lower league opposition will still have felt really good.
Palace have the team to win this game and the prices are really open, so let’s take advantage of that by backing them for the win but with the draw covered on the refund for extra safety. There is motivation for both sides and we should see plenty of chances in this game so another market could be backing both teams to find the back of the net
