England Premier League
Saturday 5th October 2019
Kick off at 3pm BST
Venue: Carrow Road
Match Preview:
Norwich have probably played much better than their current position of 17th claims, but then again they say the league doesn’t lie. The Canaries need to change up something because they have lost 4 of their last 5 games, with one win in between, which irony of ironies was against the champions Manchester City.
Norwich’s last match ended in a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace and they will hope that the team promoted with them in Aston Villa lies 3 points at quarter to five this Saturday.
The good news is that Norwich have won 2 of their 3 games at home and they are scoring goals too, with 8 so far. They will be hoping that Teemu Pukki has his goalscoring boots on, he's had a fantastic start to the season.
Aston Villa are a place below Norwich and with 5 points they have had a poor start to the season. They will still be kicking themselves over losing to Arsenal the other week when they had the Gunners beat and then followed that up by dropping two points at home to Burnley with that game finishing in a 2-2 draw.
Villa have won 1 game all season and already the writing looks on the wall for a relegation dog fight. However with the league being so close at the moment, a win here could take them up at least five places.
Team News:
Norwich: Ralf Fahrmann may be included after recovering from a muscle injury. Tim Krul is out for at least two weeks with a back injury. Jamal Lewis looks like he will miss this game with an ongoing arm injury. Alexander Tettey is out until after the international break and the Canaries have a long list of longer term injuries
Aston Villa: Jonathan Kodija was pencilled in for this game after his head injury but will rest for a further two weeks on medical advice. James Chester has recovered from injury but lacks match fitness and will return after the international break
