England Premier League
Saturday 6th April 2019
Kick off at 3pm BST
Venue: St. James' Park
Match Preview:
Newcastle are slowly getting there and will likely be safe as they have 35 points. Their last game ended in a 2-0 loss against Arsenal but the club’s form has always been about how they perform at home and they have won their last 5 games in a row. Overall they have won 7 games at home although they have also lost 8.
Crystal Palace will have quite a trip to make for this game and is something else that will be to their disadvantage. Newcastle could move up one place but it would be significant in this game as they would leapfrog Palace.
Roy Hodgson’s Palace have been really inconsistant, which has meant that they haven’t been able to escape the lower half of the league. Palace had the honour of being the first team to play Tottenham at their new stadium and lost 2-0. This was the clubs first away loss in 3 games and in fact they have had a pretty decent away record this season. If the League was based on points scored away from home only, Palace would be sitting in 7th position.
Team News:
Newcastle: Isaac Hayden will miss this game through a hip injury he picked up during the Arsenal game, he is the only doubt for the club.
Crystal Palace: Palace have no new injuries coming into this game.
