There has been turmoil at St James’ Park with owner Mike Ashley and manager Rafa Benitez clashing on a few occasions and fans will hope that the waters have calmed a little since then. The Magpies started the campaign by losing at home against Tottenham and then went to newly promoted Cardiff and could only draw, so they are looking for their first win of the season.

As for Chelsea under new manager Maurizio Sarri the team look like champions-elect once again. They easily beat Huddersfield away from home 3-0 and then got an important result by defeating Arsenal 3-2. The game was a thriller given that the Blues had blown a 2 goal lead but their quality just about told in the end and the club should take strength from that.

This ground though has not been kind to Chelsea who have not recorded a victory since 2011 so it will be interesting to see if Sarri’s team can change their fortunes around.
