Betting Tip Previews:Our first selection (Asian handicap 0.0 Newcastle) should be an easy win on paper, but with the odds of our second selection being so good, we were able to cover the draw on this which should make it extra safe as Bristol City have performed a bit better recently. As we all know, Newcastle are probably the strongest team in the Championship, sitting top of the League, having scored more goals and conceded fewer goals than any other team in the league, so they should win this game comfortably. They do however have a fresh injury to top scorer Dwight Gayle which rules him out of this game, however that is their only major injury concern. There opponents today (Bristol City) put up a good fight against Newcastle earlier in the season, only losing 1-0 to a Dwight Gayle goal, however Bristol City are far less effective away from home. They have only managed 2 wins from 16 away league games this season, with the last away league win being back in September. Therefore being away to the strongest team in the league today, they will most likely have to wait another game at least before managing another away win.
Our second selection (Asian handicap -1 Brentford) is more a selection based on their opponents ability away from home than their own ability. Brentford are a decent side, and probably should be higher up the table than they are as they can play some very nice football, but as we know it's getting results that counts. Their last few home games have been very tough, with opponents like Brighton, Newcastle, Norwich, and Cardiff, but only Newcastle managed to win in a close fought game. Therefore against Rotherham today, Brentford should be far more capable of getting a result. Rotherham have a terrible away record of 0 wins, 1 draw, and 16 losses, scoring only 10 goals yet conceding a massive 48. This effectively give any home team a very good chance of beating them, so a decent team like Brentford should be able make it a 10th straight away defeat for Rotherham today.
