Newcastle were really unlucky in their last game at Old Trafford where they found themselves 2-0 up in the first ten minutes and were playing great football against Manchester United. But alas they couldn’t hold on and collapsed in the 2^nd half to 3 United goals and after such a brave effort they left Manchester with no points.

It was a huge sucker punch for the Magpies and manager Rafa Benitez and they are still waiting for their first win of the season. What is clear is that if the team prepare themselves and play with the same professionalism as they did in their last game they should be picking up points shortly. This home game represents a chance to do just that. Though form is poor for the club with 4 losses from their past 5 games.

Brighton are in 13^th place and a win here would see Chris Hughton’s side move 11 points clear of their hosts. They only achieved their 2^nd win of the season last time out when they beat West Ham 1-0 at home. On the road tells a different story though and Brighton are yet to win with 3 losses from 4 games. The distance between the teams is one of the longest in the Premier League, so that could well count against Brighton’s chances for this game also.

Brighton: Pascal Grob should be ready to return after a lack of match fitness. Davy Propper has a knock but will be assessed. Dale Stephens could be drafted back into the team after his hamstring injury earlier this month
