Maritimo vs Chaves Betting Tip Preview:This is my preferred selection of this particular double as firstly the draw is covered, which is always a massive plus in terms of safety, both selections are far stronger with home advantage which our selection (Maritimo) has today, and I feel their opponents (Chaves) have somewhat over-performed this season. Since Maritimo lost their first two home games of the season, they have gone on to record 8 wins and 3 draws, and some of those wins were against good teams like Benfica and Braga. They aren't a high scoring team, which is not surprising in Portugal, however they do have the 3rd strongest defence in the league with only 24 goals conceded from 27 games so far. On top of that, when they visited Chaves earlier in the season they were unlucky to only come away with 1 point as they dominated possession and chances on goal. Chaves have performed very well this season considering they are newly promoted, however they have still struggled away from home, where they have managed just 2 wins from 13 away games all season. Although difficult to break down at home, Chaves do concede more than twice as many goals on their travels, and they don't score enough (1 per game on average) to compensate for that. Maritimo should stand a very good chance of collecting all 3 points tonight, and it would be a big surprise not to at least get a draw from this game.
Real Sociedad vs Sporting Gijon Betting Tip Preview:This selection is what I call "best of a bad remaining bunch", it's not ideal but should still stand a good chance. Earlier in the season this would have been tipped as an easy 3 points for Real Sociedad, and in all truth it probably still should, however their recent form has been very poor, scoring just 1 point from their last 4 league games, and managing just one goal in the process. They have a had a few key players out recently which will have affected their performances, and some of those should be returning tonight, but confidence being a big factor in football, i thought goals would be a safer option than match result. Their opponents tonight (Sporting Gijon) concede nearly 2 goals on average per away game, and when Real Sociedad visited them earlier in the season they conceded 3. In fact 7 of the last 8 encounters in all competitions between these two teams have contained at least 3 goals, so 2 or more tonight should be achievable. So on top of Real Sociedad's obvious chances of scoring tonight, they do also have a habit of conceding away goals, having conceded in 12 of their last 13 away games in all competitions. So potentially this could be a decent BTTS selection also, however i feel a goal line over 2 should be safer. A couple of goals from Real Sociedad tonight wouldn't surprise me, as well as a goal on the counter from Sporting Gijon, which would be enough for our selection to win.
